We stayed 2 days at The Crown site. We have visited the pub before and stayed in the lovely cosy barn. This time we had a small Campervan. The pitch was huge, with electric and water. Clean toilet and shower The views are just perfect and so peaceful. As we couldn’t enjoy the crowns wonderful food it was great that on Friday Andrew had a pop up doing loaded fries and fish and chips which was fantastic. A great two days and we definitely will return. Many thanks.

We love staying at the Crown. The facilities are open shower and toilet immaculate. Such a pity the Restaurant and Pub is not open. We took advantage of the fast food van selling loaded fries, burgers kofta kebabs etc… etc… in the Crowns beer garden. Open on Saturday.
The dog walks are great and it’s two miles to either Romaldkirk or Middleton in Teesdale via the old railway footpath.
The Blacksmith Arms pub is open in the village so you can enjoy a drink there.
Can’t wait for August Bank Holiday when we will be staying again.

Loveley site with stunning views, we loved our stay here, good sized hardstanding pitches with your own water and electric (unusual for a CL), lovely little village with great walks were looking forward to visiting again!

Another super stay at the Crown CL. A really lovely open site with spacious serviced hard standing. So peaceful. Walks from the site are exceptional, especially along the river to Middleton. Much to explore in the area. Do hope on our next visit the Crown will be open but served very well down the road at the Blacksmith Arms. Will definitely book again. Many thanks for excellent pre booked supper.

Wow we loved our short break at the crown. Immaculate spacious and in the heart of a beautiful village. The walks were fabulous we saw lots of birds and rabbits. The countryside was beautiful as we walked along the river to Middleton in tees I honestly thought I was somewhere abroad.
Shower room and toilet maybe a little small but compact and bijou and spotlessly clean.
Well done the crown on managing everything with such efficiency and cleanliness in these strange times
We will return someday I am sure

The crown. Mickleton
Fabulous site, with spacious pitches, clean toilet/shower, and miles of walks accessed from the site. Could only have been better if The Crown was open, but the dog-friendly Blacksmiths just over the road is open with plenty of tables inside and out.
