Just been for lunch again! Once again the weather outside was cold and miserable, but inside there was a warm and welcoming atmosphere.The food was perfectly cooked and the staff very friendly with a ready smile and helpful advice .If you do visit The Crown you must try their desserts I promise you wont be disappointed.

Excellent Campsiteeasy access, level hard stands, convenient water electrics etc.Wonderfull views, walking from site.
Excellent standard of food and service-we ate there twice this week- includes good vegetarian choices, gluten and lactose free options

My Daughter and I have just returned from visiting my father in Barnard Castle, we went to the Crown for lunch and it was just Wonderful, I was expecting an ” ok pub lunch…” how wrong could I be, and I just cannot wait for my next visit….

Bright and friendly welcome to light naturally lit rooms. Good range of regional ales with sensible ABVs. Varied menu of locally sourced products attractively presented. Excellent and attentively service. We felt welcome and valued on a mid week August lunchtime. Definitely worth a detour.

Good food, fabulous surroundings the Crown is a gem in the crown of Teesdale (get it!)
We have missed the Riverside, but the food and the atmosphere is still second to none in Teesdale. Keep up the great work Andrew and Mandy!
